Curated by Bunnycutlet Gallery, Toy Tokyo, and M27 Designs
Opening reception – January 3rd, 6-10pm
Closes – January 3rd, 10pm
Bunnycutlet Gallery, Toy Tokyo and M27 Designs proudly present Raise Up Philippines: An Art Benefit for Typhoon Haiyan Relief on Friday, January 3, 2014, from 6-10pm. The Bunnycutlet Gallery, named “Best New Gallery in 2013” by The Village Voice, will house the event at 158 Roebling Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. For one evening, supporters will have an opportunity to bid on a diverse selection of low-brow, graffiti, pop, and street art through silent auction. 100% of the proceeds go directly to UNICEF Philippines.
Nearly 12 million people, including 6 million children, were affected by Typhoon Haiyan, and they are still desperately in need of shelter, clean water, medicine and nutrition. A powerhouse lineup of exceptional creative minds gather together to donate artwork and prints for this auction, eager to bring much needed assistance to the storm-ravaged Philippines.
Featuring artwork and prints by some of today’s most influential tastemakers including: Simone Legno of Tokidoki, Tara McPherson, and O.G. Slick, alongside popular New York and Florida-based Filipino artists: Gigi, Grace, and Leo Angelo Bio (8×10 Collective) and Anthony Castro. This showcase will be an uplifting experience for the people of the Philippines, citizens of New York, and beyond.
