As an Artist and designer I’m pretty back behind the scenes, and typically have worked as a director and lead in the professional agency world. It’s really refreshing to have moved back into an art role and get back to doing really personal works that reflect directly to a new character and toy line for Heart Robo.
Paired with some mutated Robocon and Doraemon variants, in both color and illustration – I’m happy with how Heart Robo looks like their party posse is ready for the balloon drop.
For the record:
1989 I consciously began doing graffiti. From there I found myself doing everything from apparel and skate graphics and murals… adn you know… being young and dumb.
I started professionally as a lead designer and Art Director in 1997.
Over the years I moved between a few agencies, and ran an independent firm, dluxstudios.com
Eventually I worked as Executive Creative Director up until 2013 at CRI, and then began Toy As Object.
So I’ve come full circle and then some I suppose. I’ve married my love of product and toy design with the illustration requirements of character and world creation. And using my art / mural background to promote this is perfect. Stoked.
I’d like to thank Pebbles for hooking up the op, and am looking forward to painting this week with Sest and Zukkie on the Southwall.
